PDO(1) in PHP has been pretty "idle" for a long time, there are
efforts for PDO2 -- but I wouldn't hold my breath. ;-)

Anyway -- did you experience any issues with the code as is, or are
you judging from the entry in the manual?

Furthermore, since Zend_Db_Adapter_Pdo_Mssql is available why don't
you fork it and contribute a ODBC driver then? :) There's been some
progress in an issue, but I don't know what the status is, you might
be best off asking (comment) on there:

Some ppl mention patches etc. and maybe that would get you started.
