Re: [fw-mvc] Code re-use across modules

Hello Graham,

Good proposal. This is one of the things that worries me as well. I would like to resue some code in my model which is need in a different module. Shouldnt it be possible to create one model layer for all modules?

Hello list,

I wish to author at least a proposal for either a model loader helper and
perhaps another one or two specific loader helpers, or maybe a more general
code asset loader helper. So I'd like to gauge some reactions and get some
opinions and thoughts on a couple of things.

In some of my applications I already share model & form classes across several
modules, I use the same custom loader for both modules and forms, this
currently does not use the ZF PluginLoader however In my proposal I will be
specifying using the ZF PluginLoader ( or a similar class implementing the
plugin loader abstract ).

I've seen an increased number of queries recently on forums, on IRC and on the
mailing lists about sharing models across modules so I'm sure there's at least
strong demand for this.

As an application developer using ZF do you also currently re-use models
across two or more modules?

Do you re-use forms across different modules?

Are there any other distinct category of code class that you re-use across
modules?

If you do not currently re-use code in your modules, is this something you
would like to do if a helper class was available?

I look forward to your thoughts and input.

Cheers the noo,
Graham
