but was getting converted to ASCII. I'm pretty sure that escape() is the
culprit, and Zend doesn't allow me to just grab a variable directly without
it.
So...the question is, how do I customize it to NOT escape html characters in
SOME cases, but not necessarily all?
PHP htmlspecialchars() function is the one used by default, and this page
gives me some info, but not on what my options are for different settings:

I've looked high and low for this. Maybe I'm just google challenged, but
maybe someone here has specific directions?
