[fw-db] Get default adapter in model (best practice?)

Hello everybody,

My question is rather quick - i'm experiencing trouble getting the default
DB adapter in my model.
I know this is easy as i always extended Zend_Db_Table and then used

parent::getDefaultAdapter();

But now i don't need to extend Zend_Db_Table (for the first time actually)
and am completely stuck on how to get my default adapter. So i would greatly
appreciate if you could give me a hand here.
