Are there any good examples (open source projects, blog posts...) on how to model your data with zf, by extending Zend_Db_Table_Abstract and implementing data mapper? What is the status of including data mapper into zf?

I guess the author want to show the Table Data Gateway example easily so
that most of readers can understand. You can build your own mapper
complicated as your project need.
