I am curious about controlling my database transactions using a commit/rollback strategy.
After consulting the documentation here: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/zend.db.adapter.html I am still unsure - are these commits/rollbacks controlled in the application layer or in the database layer? If there are several connections making changes to the same database, are their commit modes affected?
I am using MySQL using the pdo_mysql PHP extension.
Thanks,
-Sam
