It'd probably be good to have a sequence diagram of the entire MVC process in Zend Framework in the manual.

In my projects, normally I combine several Frontend Plugins, and Action Helpers to get a better scalabilty. Sometimes it is hard to decide "what" method/event to choose during the dispatch proccess.
