[fw-mvc] Validation _getParam Zend_Controller_Action

Hi. I saw in many tutorial a think like this

 $id = $this->_getParam('id', 0); if ($id > 0) {     // do something } 

I'm wondering if it's enough for the script security. Do you think is a waste of time to validate it with Zend_Validate_Digits or not ? Bye.
