[fw-mvc] Zend_Paginator::setCache()?

I am using the latest tagged release (version 1.7.7) and was trying to following the online documentation for "Zend Paginator Advanced Caching".

It looks like there is no Zend_Paginator::setCache() method.

Is there a correct way to set up a cache with Zend_Paginator or is this feature not released yet?

Also, would it be OK use my main cache (set up in my bootstrap) for Zend_Paginator or should I create an entirely new cache just for this?
