As usual, despite fiddling with this for an hour, I realised the problem
about 5 minutes after I posted about it ...
On a side note, any chance of getting some votes for this issue on the
tracker - not being able to do any joins at all on a table object is a real
pain. And before anyone asks, I'm not competent enough with ZF to be able
to submit a patch for that, but I will submit some better documentation for
partialLoop.
